Since enrolling at Simon Fraser University in 2008, Michael has launched a number of ventures including Lumen5, Sniply, WittyCookie, TEDxSFU, and more.

As a young innovator and entrepreneur, he has been featured on Maclean's Magazine as one of Canada's Future Leaders and BCBusiness' Top 30 Under 30.

His work has earned him a string of accolades such as the New Ventures BC Top Prize, the Next 36 Satchu Prize, the Coast Capital Venture Prize, and the Surrey Board of Trade Top 25 Under 25 Award. He was also named the City of Surrey and SFU Entrepreneur of the Year.

Michael strives to be an inspiration to a new generation of entrepreneurs and appreciates the opportunity to share his experiences wherever he can as an invited keynote speaker for organizations such as the United Nations Association as well as the Thiel Fellowship.
